In just a few hours, I’ll leave the Danish autumn and head to Kathmandu and the Khumbu region of Nepal (around Everest). I am going with the nice British folks of Jagged Globe and will stay for a total of four weeks. During that time, we will do an Everest BC trek, then climb three peaks around 6000m of altitude: Pokalde, the very popular Island Peak and finally Lobuje East, before crossing the Cho La pass and heading south in the Gokyo valley. This is what Jagged Globe call the Khumbu Climber expedition, and this will be my first venture in the Himalayas.
My role on the trip will be to document it, mostly with still photography but also with video footage, and I will make a short film about it when I get back home. In the meantime, I will be unavailable until my return on November 12th, and as a consequence this website, along with my photoblog will be on hold, unless there are enough internet cafes in Nepal for me to post some quick reports on the go.
I am all packed, batteries are charged and checklists complete, I will now try to get a few hours of sleep before the 24 hours plane ride to Nepal tomorrow. See you in a month!
